Chetan Parikh
Founder & CEO
Chetan Parikh is a serial healthcare entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building AI-powered healthcare solutions. Parikh founded RAAPID in 2022 with a clear belief: that risk adjustment technology must be built for defensibility and clinical accuracy. Under his leadership, RAAPID secured Series A funding from M12 (Microsoft’s Venture Fund), establishing the platform as an enterprise-grade solution trusted by leading health plans nationwide.
Vatsal Ghiya
Co-Founder & CMO
Vatsal Ghiya brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare AI software and services. As co-founder of the medical transcription company that became the foundation for RAAPID’s clinical data expertise, Ghiya’s deep understanding of US healthcare operations and unstructured medical data continues to shape the platform’s approach to clinical document processing.
Our History
2004
Our roots go back to the medical transcription company we kick-started to solve problems in the healthcare sector. Chetan Parikh and Vatsal Ghiya became roommates and best friends as engineering students at the University of Massachusetts. They started a company providing medical transcription services in a wide range of specialties. Offering high quality services at a reasonable price, opened doors to long-lasting customer relations and exceptional feedback attracting instant referrals.
2010
We deep dived in the clinical NLP engine and user interface for coding and documentation workflow. A revenue cycle management platform together with APIs was launched.
2015
Started offering CAC and CDI solutions. These were launched with early customers, validating market demand and technology capabilities.
2018
Introduced CAC and CDI capabilities for the out-patient and ambulatory market. During a client interaction with a fortune 10 company, the idea of Shaip was conceptualized. This marked the start of a tremendous journey that has brought together a team of top software engineers, transcriptionists, data scientists, researchers, and designers who set out to build the world’s best medical AI platform. The goal was to organize medical data to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs.
2021
Ventured into retrospective risk adjustment to transform value-based care. RAAPID uses industry-leading Knowledge Graph Infused Clinical NLP technology to bring you better outcomes in every sense.
